Markham and Ellesmere is an extremely well run program with a number of community members volunteering their time daily. 

In the adjoining room, arts & crafts, computers games, board games, books etc. are available for the children to enjoy and entertain before going to school.  Recently a number of children were fortunate to go on a salmon fishing trip, where one child caught a 15 pound salmon.  He was able to take that home and share it with his family.

In 2002, the Markham/Ellesmere location was re-named Mel Lastman Markham Breakfast Club.  Retried Mayor Mel Lastman has been a long time supporter of TCBC.
