Annual Pancake Cooking Contest

Our event was held at the Toronto Don Valley on Wednesday Dec 16/09, between 6:00am and 9:00am, covered by Breakfast Television (Jennifer Valentine). We had 16 teams compete for the Championship, which was judged by an esteemed group of Judges, which was led by famous TV personality - Christine Cushing from the Women Network.

Our breakfast club choir, from Mammoliti Breakfast Club entertained our participants and guests with Christmas Carols while our teams created their masterpieces. Our proud winner was the Peel Police with their donut shape pancakes, Judges from the West courts coming in a close second, with their fluffy blueberry pancakes and Starbucks with their fabulous coffee flavour coming third.

Our apron competition reflected the creativity and teamwork, which allowed all of our teams to work together towards a common goal of supporting the Children´s Breakfast Club.

Paisley Insurance came in first, with close runners up, being Toronto Fire Services, led by Fire Chief Bill Steward and father Deputy Chief Frank Lammie, and Atto Insurance.

Everyone mentioned that the event not only reflected the spirit of the Children´s Breakfast Clubs but also displayed togetherness and caring amongst all.

The Children´s Breakfast Club´s Sports Equipment Drive

On Saturday September 20th, 2008, Woodbine entertainment, East York Rotary, David Singh, Global Medics, Farley Flex, Toronto Argos, Amalgamated Transit Union and many others help launch The Children's Breakfast Club's all sports equipment Drive.

The equipment we collected reflects all our communities, To ensure our kids participate in soccer, cricket, baseball, hockey, sking, golf and cycling. Many of our children have never had the opportunity to particapte in various sports as they do not have the necessary equipment: with the assistance of many generous people we make those dreams come true. Our slogan is " every child deserves the right to play"
